I love the dual sides of this message, Kathy - both so true. "There is inspiration everywhere", gather it, but it's okay to pause and rest too. Crucial, even. I also imagine the two are more connected than we often realize. I often feel the periods of rest and pausing somehow give rise to finding more inspiration. Quick anecdote that relates: I once spent nine days at a silent meditation retreat, just slowing down, observing myself and my mind, and while I felt initial resistance to this slowing down at first, by the end I actually felt a welling up of all kinds of inspiration and ideas with greater vividness than I normally experienced. It made me realize the necessity of this pausing/breathing to the creative process, and how starved I normally am for it.
